Moraine Lake Hike
Yesterday, we took a break and explored the Cascade Lakes Highway. My friend, Linda, recommended Doris Lake and some easy fun trails. Emil wanted to stop by and buy a map for the area, but I urged him to wing it. Tee Hee.
We ended up hiking to Moraine Lake, which is a gorgeous 3 mile (one way) uphill hike under a thick canopy of mossy trees and snow patches.
There were several people swimming in the chilly lake, and we saw many groups of backpackers. Temperature was a balmy 80 degrees. A perfect day!
