Tonight, we hit up the Art Hop in downtown Bend.  Basically, it's First Friday for the art galleries and all the cute stores stay open late.  Every store had a guitar player or trio playing jazz.  Stopped in a gorgeous shop, Bend Bungalow LLC.  www.bendbungalow.com.  They have beautiful arts and crafts style items such as posters, clocks, lamps and more.  We also stopped in at Mockingbird Gallery http://www.mockingbird-gallery.com and chatted with artist William Pickerd, who makes delicate alabaster bowls with wood trim.  He worked in Kodiak, Alaska for 12 years as a commercial fisherman.  Super nice guy.

Dinner at Deschutes Brewery.  I had the Cubano, which is pictured below.  The side salad featured shaved fennel and fresh cranberries!  Spencer Shroyer... you would LOVE this sandwich!
$12 Cubano with side salad

Emil had a French Dip.  Both were excellent, however the pretzel appetizer was FANTASTIC.  Here is the simple description from the menu:

LARGE HOUSE-BAKED PRETZEL
With a Creamy White Cheese Dipping Sauce Ringed with our Black Butte Porter Stone Ground Mustard

I highly suggest ordering one pretzel for each person.  You won't share.
