This just in.. we need to be in Redmond on September 15.  So, if we estimate seven days to drive down, then we better start packing!  There is so much to do in the next month.  I am finally super excited and embracing the move.  Two possible jobs already, but I would like some time off before I dive in and give my best to a new job.

The countdown is on!  First on the list is booking a trout trip down the upper Kenai with Troutfitters.  YEAH!

Resurrecting my old blog, so I can track summer fun and the following nine months in Redmond, Oregon as I "become a farmer" according to my Mother.

Over Memorial Day weekend, Emil and I flew to Oregon to meet a very nice couple who live in a beautiful home. They are headed overseas and need a caretaker. Their animals consist of two llamas, three cats, four chickens, and several baby chicks.

We will move there in September and stay until mid-June. This amazing opportunity will give us time to fish, write, recharge our batteries and see if we like the area to live there year-round.

I will admit it's scary... and intimidating. Learning a new area of the country, making friends, looking for work, and caring for animals, But, it's an adventure. Something we both need and want.
